For your concern: It is normal for kettles to scale at the bottom of the pot over time and can be eliminated. It is not rust, but scaling caused by different water quality. Scale can be removed by adding a small amount of organic acid (such as vinegar or lemon) and boiling a large amount of water.
What do I need to do before using the kettle for the first time?
Fill kettle to maximum fill line with cold water. Bring to boil, discard and repeat. Kettle is now ready for use.
How to do kettle maintenance? How to Descale/Clean the Kettle?
1. Filling the kettle with 1 cup of vinegar or lemon juice and 2 cups of water.
2. Boiling the liquid and leave it for 2 hours.
3. Rinse the kettle with clean water, and dry with a soft, clean cloth.
Repeat the above steps as appropriate.
Why does the base wobble?
If the wire does not go through the wire hole of the base, one side of the base will be bulged and thus unbalanced and wobbly. * Solution: wire vertical through the base wire hole, so that the base is stable and does not wobble.
Why does the kettle wobble?
The core part of the base in contact with the kettle has 3 pieces of elastic copper, so the kettle is not completely fit on the base when it is not filled with water, so there will be a slight wobble, but it won't capsize. Not a product defect.
