This is the mold line (parting line) on the dust bin, not an actual crack. It is a normal manufacturing feature and does not affect the structural strength or sealing performance of the unit.
What are the removable components inside the dust cup, and can they be washed with water?
HEPA filter for intake/exhaust (0.1 microns). Brush after each use, rinse with water every 30 uses. Air dry completely before reinstalling.
