Is black also color in one cartridge, and from what I gather from other answer if color runs out it will still print black?

This is a monochrome printer.  That means it only prints in black or shades of gray.  Once the black toner cartridge is empty, the games over.  Let me offer one tip... if the cartridge comes with little round clear windows on either end, you may be able to trick the copier and get extra use from the cartridge by covering the windows with black tape.  It fools the sensor on some models.

Does this scan in color or only in B&W?

Most all B/W Printers Scan in full color if they have a scanner option.
Very rare that you see a scanner without color scanning.

does it come with toner   ?

It does come with toner adequate for about 900 copies.  Tip - Inspect your toner cartridge.  Some will come with a round clear inspection port on each end. This is how the copier knows your toner is low.  If you want to get a bit longer life from your cartridge, you can cover the inspection port with black tape.  Make your own decision that the toner is getting too faint.

Will this printer work with an ipad?

This printer works out of the box on recent versions of iOS as long as the printer and iOS device are on the same network. Specifically, I can confirm that it works with iOS 11 and 12.

Can you print addresses on envelopes??

Yes, but only through the manual feed at the back of the printer. Not great if it's difficult access or if you have a ton of envelopes to print.

Is this printer able to copy and enlarge scans directly?

There is a Enlarge/Reduce option in the settings, so I would like to say yes, though I've never used it myself. Under "Custom" setting, it suggests that it can go anywhere between 25%-400%

IPrintScan is the software that comes with the DPC-L2550DW. After a scan you are given options asking what to do with the file: Save to PC, Scan to Cloud service, or open in application. Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive are supported.  A cloud storage client is not provided or required.

Can I scan multiple pages at once?

Yes, it is a sheet fed copier and scanner.  You can scan multiple copies (not sure how many as I have only done 10 pages at at time) into a single scan.  You can also scan pages and append to an existing scan as well.

No, this printer does not support faxing. It is a 4-in-1 multifunction printer that includes printing, copying, and scanning, but not faxing.
