I used this device to eliminate a cable I had running from my office, the core of my rather large home network, to a guest gaming PC in the living room. Connecting one unit to an available outlet near my router, and the other to the same outlet powering the guest PC. They are not on the same circuit as recommended by the manufacturer for best performance, but in all reality, most people using devices like this are not going to be able to keep it all on the same circuit. So for me, this was a more "real world" test of the units ability. Setup was as simple as it could possibly be. Plug in the units, connect the Ethernet cables, and you're done. Within less than a minute of plugging in the second unit, I had the guest PC online. It really is as simple as that. To add more units, it's as simple and pressing a couple buttons for a few seconds on an existing device, then on the new device you are adding to the private connection. However I am only using the 2 devices included in this starter kit.

Works from hub/switch in first floor living room to basement via power line. Washer and dryer next to computer do not interfere with it. Replaces a wifi connection that was barely usable. (thru a wood floor covered by slate, then thru a stone planter, a La-z-boy and across the living room.
