Yes, the vertical mount provides approximately 7" of vertical travel - from a max height of 20.25" down to 15" (as measured from desk top to top of display).

To adjust the height, simply grasp the display by both sides and either lift or pull down to desired height.

As you know, there is no HDMI port on the U2312. The monitor only comes with a DVI-to-DVI cable.  If you want to feed the monitor from a video card with HDMI connector, you'll have to buy your own HDMI-to-DP or HDMI-to-DVI cable.  Or, buy just an HDMI-to-DVI adapter and then use the DVI-to-DVI cable that Dell provides with the monitor.

Hello, I have a question that might sound dumb. This monitor is 1080p@60Hz, so why is there a Displayport connection on it?

DisplayPort can output 1080p@60Hz and the benefit is that monitors can be daisy chained using displayport.  I'm using this monitor with a Dell docking station and displayport cable and I can get the full 1920x1080 resolution.

We have an older HP, with a VGA connection.  Does this monitor have A VGA connection cord?

Are the monitors you are displaying for purchase manufactured in 2011? I have noticed some reviews of customers getting an older version of this monitor called A00 . Can you specify when exact make and model . Thank you!

I can't speak to Newegg's acquisition practices or Dell's manufacturing status but the two units I received around September 13, 2013 are Rev A00 with a build date of June 2013.

I have no issues with the monitors, they work very well and have an excellent display.

My only issue was that after I purchased them but before Newegg shipped them, Newegg dropped the price $30 per monitor.  Newegg would not adjust the price (which would have been a $60 difference) and instead only offered a $25 gift card.  This experience has changed my impression of Newegg for future purchases.
