Yes it is. We use them for dental software. This is perfrct and has one of the best supported TWAIN drivers on the market today.

Is this a networked printer?

We use this scanner on our network and save documents to our server.  You can only scan while sitting at the computer that is attached to the scanner.  This is a fantastic unit.  The first one sped up production so much we added a 2nd.

Is this compatible with Windows 8 and scanning to the cloud?

I am using windows 7 and do not scan to the cloud - sorry.  It is a good scanner and I think I see instructions for scanning to the cloud. You should be able to see system requirements when you pull up the scanner properties on the web site to evaluate windows compatabilities.

Does this printer scan as .tiff and how loud is it?  Looking for a quiet scanner for an open office environment that won't disturb everyone around.

This scanner can scan as .tiff, .jpg, .pdf, .bmp and a few other formats.  Having worked with numerous scanners myself, I find this scanner to be VERY quiet.  I have a few people on my floor working with these and have had no complaints.  Incidentally, the first time I saw this scanner in action was at my child's pediatrician.  The noise from it was only noticeable when sitting right next to it.  Otherwise, it is very quiet.  This product is sturdy, fast, quiet, reliable and is highly configurable for numerous scanning needs.  It's about as good as you can get for desktop scanning.  I hope this helps.

Can anyone tell me what version of scandall comes with this scanner?  We're looking for one with scandall pro 2.0 and can't tell if this comes with an older version.

I'm sorry I can't answer your question about the Scandall version, my recent purchases have been drop shipped to branch offices so I did not have an opportunity to review the Scandall CD.

We feel the real value is that the 6110 comes with full version of Adobe Acrobat X Standard - a $250-$300 value.

We do not use Scandall, it does not perform in a fashion that fits our needs and is not compatible with our paperless system.
