I got this for my Nuvi 1300. What do I use to mount the garmin on this? I have no way to attach it to the ball. What do I get to put on the Garmin so it can attach to the ball? I need a mount on my Garmin that will then pop onto the ball. Not sure what to do here. Makes no sense.

Hi – These units work great if you are able to get it set-up.  I had the same problem that you are when I first bought the Friction Mount.  When you bought your NUVI did you receive the suction-cup mount that would go on the windshield?  On that mount is a small bracket with a socket in the middle that fits onto the NUVI and then goes on the suction cup mount.  If you have the thin plastic bracket, it snaps onto two sides of the NUVI, the socket in the middle of the bracket would push onto the ball on the Friction Mount.  Then you are able to swivel the NUVI around to a position you are able to see it while driving or as a passenger.  The Friction Mount works great and will stay in place on the dash of your vehicle.  Don’t know if this is much help, but hope that it gives you an idea - Steve
