Hello, I just wanted to ensure that this is indeed the back cover of the hp spectre x360 15-ch011dx, as the image used gives the impression that this is instead the top cover with the hp logo being on it?

This does not look like the back cover - hp support documentation indicates the correct part number is : Bottom cover (in Dark Ash Silver color) L15591-001

From the image shown, the product seems to be the front or top cover rather than the back cover, as the back cover has the ventilation strip across the middle while this shows the hp logo akin to the top cover, I just wanted to be sure that this is indeed the back cover listed?

It is not. In addition to the vent, there are two narrow rubber stips which run almost the full width of the body .. correct hp part # is Bottom cover (in Dark Ash Silver color) L15591-001
