I have the Elitebook 8740W. Will this dock work?

It should work. According to HPs website this model is listed as compatible with the Elitebook 8740w. Google this HP SKU number: 10432933.

Do you have the item to insert into the integrated SATA bay? I want to put a hard drive there for additional storage.

Hi Cindy, HP doesn't make it easy, but I was able to find the part on the HP Parts site. The part is called 'Upgrade Bay Cradle', and the part number is 613682-001. It doesn't include a hard drive. You can buy it with a hard drive (different part number), but it is less expensive to buy just the cradle and supply your own hard drive. I hope this helps.
