The Kumho Ecsta AST is a performance all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire promotes exceptional all weather traction. The special advanced all season tire compound and directional tread design work together to increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The directional tread design finds excellent grip on the road surface, while the all season compound keeps the tire's flexibility even in colder temperatures, which ensures superb traction on ice and snow-covered road surfaces. The tread's circumferential and angled grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The enhanced traction and hydroplaning resistance boost the year round driving experience.

The constant road contact of the directional tread design improves the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The faster and more responsive steering and the stabilized structure upgrade the tire's controllability in all conditions. Furthermore, the internal structure maintains the optimal tire shape. The hard bead filler, the high-tensile steel belts and the jointless nylon ply construction reinforce the tire against the high speed driving pressure and they prevent the deformation of the model's shape. This enables the tire to perform to its utmost capability, while, at the same time, improving its handling.

The construction's jointless high strength bead wire also optimizes the tire's shape. This enables the tire to closely follow the road surface and absorb the shock of driving while the tires are in motion.
