This printer is pictures with two external bins, if I purchase this machine will it in fact have two bins, one that can be used for legal paper and the other that can be used for letter paper?

They ALL do this-- Nope! You only Gets ONE. The second tray you got to open your wallet. Save your money and just switch paper when you need to
