Is it made for camcorders?

I've only used this with a small SLR camera. Fine for that. Should work with a camcorder that is kept stationary, but I would not expect it to do well if you plan to move the camcorder, as in panning to track a moving subject. I'd advise a head made specifically for movies, having a fluid bearing.
