Operation Steps
Trouble Shooting Guide -
a) - Why does the LCD screen not turn on when connectting the battery tester with batteries?
- Check if any connection loose on the battery clamps with the battery posts.
- Check if the polarity connection is reversed. Make sure the red clamp with the positive post and the black clamp with the negative post.
b) - The LCD screen does not display correct value.
- The battery tester test range is 4-20volts DC. If the battery voltage is under 4volts DC, the LCD screen will display "LO".
- If the battery voltage is higher than 20volts DC, the LCD screen will display "HI".
c) - The LED indicators for the alternators side do not turn on but only the LED indicators for the battery side turn on when testing the alternator output.
- Please start the engine when testing the alternator output. If the alternator output is under 13.6volts DC, the LED indicators for the alternators will not turn on. (It means the alternator output is lower than normal. Check if any problem with the alternator.)
d) - The value on the LCD screen is flucturant.
- The battery tester has no batteries inside. It's powered by the battery to be tested directly. If the battery under testing is weak, the value on the LCD screen may be flucturant.
e) - The LCD screen does not turn on but only the Red reverse LED turn on.
- The connection with the battery should be reversed. Please correct the connection to operate again.
