This lamp conversion socket is designed specifically to solve that problem. The socket separates the physical turn knob from the power path, allowing the knob to act as a control input while an external smart relay manages power to the lamp. When paired with a compatible WiFi or automation relay (not included), the lamp can be controlled remotely while still functioning normally from the physical knob. Unlike inline switches or smart bulbs, the physical knob always toggles the lamp state correctly, regardless of how the lamp was last controlled. This makes it ideal for DIY smart lamp projects where reliability, consistency, and tactile control matter.
