Do bamboo cutting boards crack easily?
No. Our board is crafted from 4-6 yearold dense moso bamboo, offering twice the longevity of wood. The 500°F steam carbonization ensures exceptional stability, with moisture controlled at 5% for maximum durability.
Does the bamboo cutting board have any odor?
When first opened, the bamboo cutting board may have a slight natural scent from the carbonization process. This is completely normal and will dissipate completely within a few hours. It is perfectly safe for use.
Is it normal for bamboo fibers to appear on cutting boards?
Fine polishing can cause a small amount of bamboo fibers to fall off. Because bamboo reacts to humidity and temperature, some shedding may occur, which is normal. Light sanding with sandpaper is sufficient.
How to properly clean andmaintain a bamboo cutting board?
1.Clean using a gentle cleanser and a soft cloth. 2. Dry immediately and hang in a cool, ventilated place. 3. Apply a thinlayer of food-grade oil every 1-3 weeks(normal use) or weekly (heavy use). 4.Allow the oil to absorb fully before nextuse.
Do you need special oil to maintaina bamboo cutting board?
No special oil needed-regular cooking oil works. Oiling forms a protective layerthat seals the surface, resists residue, and prevents cracking. Keeps the board smooth, easy to clean, and reduces fiber shedding.
