A mobile thin client is a laptop-like device that can only be used to access a virtual desktop. Processes like computing and data storage is then controlled by a network. Rather than running applications on the mobile thin client, the local OS must remote into a server. A mobile thin client needs wireless LAN access as well as a mobile data connection.
