The Alphacool Core ATX jumper plug is a simple but highly effective tool. Once the water cooling system is assembled, the system needs to be filled. For this, the pump needs power from the PSU, but the rest of the system should be left power free for safety. To be able to start the PSU without booting the entire computer, the 24-pin ATX connector is unplugged from the motherboard. The 24-pin PSU jumper is now plugged into the 24-pin connector of the power supply and the pump is also connected. After pressing the power switch, the power supply starts and the pump is supplied with power, yet the rest of the system stays dormant.
