How easy is this cable to install?

It's super easy. It helps, if you don't know your way around the motherboard, to have the manual for your motherboard and case as there are very specific instructions and pictures to guide you through it. But ultimately it's super easy to remove the placeholder on the case and install the plug end. Connecting the power plug to the motherboard is easy once you know which slot to put it into. It's usually along the motherboard edge closest to the front of the PC.

What you're looking for is the USB-C header on the motherboard. It is usually located on the right edge of the motherboard next to the 24-pin power, USB 3.0, and SATA ports. (The exact position/order will vary.) It should be a silver, rectangle-shaped port and will likely stand out visually.

What does this plug in to on the motherboard?  I can't tell what type of connector that is.

It plugs into a special port dedicated to an external USB-C connector. My B650 motherboard has the port labeled as the "USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C Connector" in the manual, and "U32-C10" next to the port on the actual board.

Newer Motherboards will include front-panel header connector(s) for USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C.

I have Fractal POP XL Air but my mobo B650E MAX GAMING WIFI only supports 5Gbps front USB-C. Is there any compatibility issue? I mean physical side. I know the speed will be downgraded to 5Gbps and that's fine.

It is designed for a pop air xl. That is the case I have and it fit perfectly and depending on where the connector is on your mobo you might have extra slack.
