The package I bought contained only the tri-color cartridge. You will need a black cartridge as well if you are still having print quality issues after replacing the tri-color cartridge. I had to shake my black cartridge vigorously a few times and do test prints as it had been a while since I printed anything.  If your printer uses this cartridge, you will need to look and order the correct black cartridge as well if after you replace the tri-color you do not get satisfactory results. You might try shaking the black cartridge a few time if you are having print quality issues after replacing the  tri-color cartridge. Hope my answer helps.
