I am not getting good sound quality from these phones. Did you have to do anything to get good quality sound?

I have felt that call quality was very good from the beginning. The Only thing I did notice was that if the volume was turned turned up to high the voices were distorted and scratchy.

Does this phone include a jack for an external headphone on the headsets?

it is the sub-mini jack so your average headsets used for cellphone will not work...but older headsets are still available.

My cells get terrible reception in my home. Will the Link2 Cell Bluetooth solve this problem?

The Panasonic handsets will allow you to answer/call out on your cell phone(s) but won't help with bad cell coverage.  I have poor cell coverage in my home and solved the problem with an extender device from Verizon which connects with your cell and actually routes the calls over the internet so it will work even if you have no cell coverage in the area.  This device must have access to a broadband internet connection to work. I presume other carriers have similar devices.

are the key pads on the handsets illuminated?

Yes...they illuminate automatically when you lift it out of the charger, press any key or when it rings.   Very easy to use in the dark.

Will this phone work well with VOIP?

I use a chinsy voip service (MJ) with mine and I have no issues. I do get feedback from time to time and I don't recommend them if you have screaming kids around all the time, hence the feed back. I know I just complained about them a little but overall I do like this phone. I would buy it again.

Question 6

Does it have call blocking? How many numbers? (Why isn't this info in the description?)

Referring to the manual, It does have the blocking feature, can block up to 250 max. It can also block a single number or a range of numbers (see page 46 of the manual).

I've not used this feature yet, therefore I have no comment.

So far, I'm pleased with this phone.

Are the specs of the power adapter for the two "satellite" units the same a for the base unit power adapter?  If not, what is the difference?

The two satellite units are different than the base unit.

The satellite units have fixed cords - in other words, the electrical wire comes directly out of the charger and couldn't be replaced.

Whereas on the base unit, the power module can be detached and theoretically replaced should the need arise.

1. Does this have call block(telemarketers)?
2. Can voice messages be deleted with handset?

Lots of features had to do with telephone company, not the phone.  It's not that user friendly.  I missed the cheap Uniden phone now.  Regret the purchase.

Can I use blue tooth headset with this model?
