I have a bit of hearing loss. Do users find this to be loud enough without using full volume?

Nope, the default volume is not loud enough. I turn up the volume on the phone when I'm on a call while using the bluetooth and it's plenty loud enough for me. But, with that said, I don't have very much hearing loss. Otherwise, the device works perfect for me.

Question 2

I am seeking a Bluetooth headset like this mainly for listening to audio books. Can I pause and play audio feeds without having to dig out my phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  With this model on my IPhone and Google Nexus tablet, it pauses the audio feed when removed from your ear.  It also answers a call automatically if you have it off of your ear when you receive a call and then place it back on your ear.

Would this work with a computer and be able to pair with it ? I wanted to record lectures while using this.

I have yet to pair this with a PC or laptop, but For the record This Headset has paired with everything I have tried it on, Even my Video game consoles.. Never had an issue, It has been overly easy.. Multiple item at once also.

Can this be used in either ear?

Yes.  The microphone piece rotates, and the part that goes behind your ear also swivels, allowing you to fit it on either ear.  Call quality is also excellent. Many people I talk to with it, usually comment on the clarity, meanwhile I am walking through stores or in the car with no background interference.  Good Buy.

Will this Bluetooth be compatible with Verizon Motorola Android?

That is a question I cannot answer, since I have an iPhone.  Logic would say that is would.  I recommend you check with Plantronics to be sure.  They have an extensive web page.  I can tell you that I am pleased with the earphone.  I got a return on investment before the first month of useage.

Does this device work on any smart phone?  I have an Android max and just wanted to make sure.

I just gave this to my wife on Valentines Day, so it's kind of new.  It's very comfortable and simple to operate.   The sound quality is very good at both ends without background noise.  Calling out from the head set, the wearer is given the impression that the connection is made and starts talking, even though the cell phone of the called person has about three more rings.  Voice dialing via blue tooth with an Android phone (Galaxy Note 3) worked very well.

Does the Plantronics Voyager Pro HD Universal Bluetooth headset receive telephone, plus music, plus travel directions from a GPS app on an iPhone 5C?  Or is it only for telephone call interaction?

I have an iPhone 5 have used the Voyager Pro with it for about a month.  Yes, it plays both music and travel directions.  I have tested it with the music app, the apple maps app and google maps.  Volume can be controlled through either the headset or the iPhone.

This is a great headset.  sound quality is superb and talk time is between 5-7 hours.  i have two phones paired at the same time, and it easily toggles between the two.  i highly recommend it.
