Question 1

Will this work with a Galaxy S5? The user manual states: "...device supports optional, removable, microSD or microSDHC memory cards of up to 128GB...".  It says nothing about SDXC.

Yes, I'm happily using my S5 with this card and with its high performance, a super memory intensive game I have installed plays smooth as can be... With my last card which was a class 10 32g the game would chop out quite often. Records and plays back 1080p video flawlessly too, although I haven't tried 4k video yet, but I'm sure it does fine too...

IS this compatible with samsung galaxy S5?

I am using it on the Samsung Note 4 and it works great.  I can't say for certain if the Note handles 128G and the S5 only 64G.  I assume it will work as their hardware is similar.

I have the same card in my Galaxy S5. My phone recognized it immediately and I have had absolutely no problems with it.  I think it makes a great addition to the Galaxy phones.
