Question 1

I am interested in this unit. Would a 
OCZ Technology Vector 150 Series 240GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal Solid State Drive with 3.5-Inch Adapter- VTR150-25SAT3-240G

fit in this unit & could it be used with either a 2013 macbook Pro retina & a 2013 iMac?

You should be good. The 3.5" adapter that comes with the SSD will provide the necessary side holes that will eventually get locked into the Silverstone tray. The tray locks into the side wholes of a regular 3.5" drive when they are manually clamped down. The adapter would simply mimic this for the 2.5" drive. Just make sure that you align the SATA connectors when sliding the tray in. Although I use a 3TB WD Red drive (3.5"), it has worked perfectly fine connected to my 2012 retina MBP. I've used it under Mountain Lion as well as the latest OSX Mavericks. I basically store all my iTunes music and movies there while pushing them out to various aTV's that I have around the house. I've never used it as a boot drive, but I have read about others who have via USB 3.0 with success. I have a different external drive case that holds my Samsung 830 Pro 256 GB SSD, and it holds very good speeds via USB 3.0. I mention this because the Silverstone enclosure has the same USB 3.0 controller that my smaller 2.5" OWC enclosure has. If the SSD works great in there, it should do the same in the Silverstone 3.5" enclosure.

1) Does it work with Windows 8 
2) Can it handle 4TB drives?

1) Yes
2) Yes, as long as the file system on the drive is one that your operating system recognizes. For example I used exFAT for cross platform support, but it turned out I had to set it up on Ubuntu and my friend's mac was just barely old enough to not support exFAT.
