The key retractor that got KEY-BAK started in 1948, the Original Series retractable key chain is a heavy duty key reel. The Original Series retractable key chain is popular because of its vintage look and the flexibility of customizing the reel to your specifications.
Choose either the retractable 24" vintage steel chain or the retractable cord made with DuPont Kevlar fiber. Next, choose between a classic cold-rolled steel chrome plated front or a more inconspicuous black vinyl cover.
Lastly, choose how you'd like to secure the key reel to your side, with either a stationary steel belt clip, a steel belt loop, removable rotating belt clip or a leather duty belt loop.

Our heavy duty, super duty and xtreme duty Original Series reels come in 48", 36" or 28" lengths respectively and have a retractable cord made with DuPont Kevlar fiber which has an 80 lb. minimum breaking strength.
STAINLESS STEEL CHAIN
The retractable 24" vintage steel chain option on the Original Series retractable key chain hasn't changed in over 70 years and every link is still made in the USA with globally sourced materials on the same machines.

STEEL BELT CLIP OR BELT LOOP
The Original Series retractable key holder has two stainless steel attachment options. The stainless steel belt clip is 2" long and easily clips onto most belts. The stainless steel belt loop option allows belts 1.75" wide and up to 3/16" thick to fit through the loop to secure the reel to your hip.
REMOVABLE ROTATING BELT CLIP
The removable rotating belt clip on the Original Series retractable key chain is a two piece clip that allows you to remove the retractable key reel without taking the clip off your side. Simply give the reel a quarter turn in either direction and lift up, the reel will lift off while leaving the clip securely at your side.
DUTY BELT LEATHER LOOP
The leather loop attachment option on the Original series retractable key reel is specifically designed to accommodate 2 1/4" Duty Belts commonly used in Law Enforcement and Security. The leather loop option is only available with a vinyl black front.
