Once you get familar with RPN you see how much more efficient it is. -It is allowed on the CFA and CFP exams. -It isn't overly complicated like some new HPs or other vendors. -It is the industry standard and for good reason. -I had mine for 17 years. That's a long time. It didn't break. I lost it an airport and have to order a new one. My old one looked like it was in a war, but never failed!

This is one of the coolest calculators i've ever seen, let alone owned. It has functions for almost anything you could ever want. 2d and 3d graphing, matricies (you can even put variables in them, which ti-83 family can't do). Very nice looking screens, calander and clock. the only thing that doesnt speed along is 3d graphing, but thats to be expected. The manual is very helpful and has saved me many times. I have a little programming knowledge, and have programs and functions for just about everything i've ever done in math class. It saves me tons of time and ensures correct answers (if i get the programming correct). Backup feature could be useful. (see other thoughts). Can download cool games.

I needed a scientific calculator an exam but I got this wonderful thing. It's interface is basically the TI-84s. With my experience with it, it was like having one except without the graphing function. 10/10 great calculator
