This unit worked flawlessly, thermally controlled fans were silent (couldn't even generate a big enough load to kick them on), battery and load capacity indicators were seemingly accurate, the free remote that came with it proved very convenient to monitor capacity from a tent, and the overload control works as expected. I powered a dual-element heated blanket and a crock-pot and the load indicator didn't waver at all. I suspect this inverter will perform well under a much heavier load... Next up is a 60" lcd and a mini-fridge for tailgating purposes. The construction is very sturdy but keep in mind this is a large unit that you will have a difficult time hiding if the application isn't an RV or semi (or you don't have a battery within 4' of a mounting spot). I had planned on permanently installing this in my '07 Dodge Ram QC 1500 until I saw the size of it (and the size of the 0 gauge cabling to hook it up).

This was an awesome buy... bought it to run my Dell XPS Gen2 during a 2,000 mile road trip. Using Microsoft Streets & Trips w/ GPS, never got lost once. The inverter was a great buy & MUCH cheaper than what few dedicated DC power supplies I could find for this laptop.

This thing is awesome, I have tried several (what I thought were fairly power hungry) laptops and it powers them just fine.

I wanted to wait a little while to leave a review as third party chargers in my experience have a fairly high rate of failure upon arrival. But I've had no issues with this one. Works great! 5 out of 5 would buy again.
