Very sturdy No sharp edges Mounting hardware included Rugged Paint job

It’s a substantial piece of hardware; you’d expect to see at an industrial supply warehouse, more so than an electronic component outlet, unless you're looking specifically for rack hardware. Departing from its original intended use, rack mounted components, it’s difficult to comprehend alternative uses until you see/ hold it. Call/use it whatever way you like; shelf, platform, bracket, it’s a winner. It’s capable of performing many functions, install it, horizontal right-side up/down - or – vertically. It appears to be surprisingly tough (weight/finish). Attachment points are well engineered. Slots intended for ventilation to serve as readily available attachment points; especially useful when mounted vertically or overhead. Mounted horizontally right-side up, reversed, it provides a lip to hold small items from dropping; mounted vertically, its accompanying slots offer numerous anchor points for all kinds of stuff; i.e Bungee hooks. It’s substantial nature accommodates a myriad of one-off applications, i.e., vertical/overhead mount for 160 degree convex mirror. Use it as a platform for IP cameras with magnetic bases. Benefiting from a plug strip (tidy things up), amazing how well it’d suit it is for this application. Additionally, if you're not aware of the newest generation of magnets, Google N52, it’s mind boggling what a substantial base like this is capable of accomplishing when joined to powerful magnets.

For the price, this is really a great rack. Heavy duty feel to the construction. It all goes together without much pain.

- heavy gauge steel, no flex at all, thanks in part to integrated front/back lips formed into the shelf platform - nice finish, seems like powder coating - very tough. - comes with hardware.

-Solid construction -Nice powder-coat finish -Interlocking segments made for easy construction -captive nuts -holes for standard 2" stem casters in all 4 corners (also had holes drilled for plate casters further in) -All in all well worth the money. I can see this lasting a long time.

Good, strong rack. 25U is ample space for a home lab, and that is resizable (length-wise) is a definite plus.

Hands-down the most cost-effective wall cabinet out there. Installation can be done by anyone with a cordless drill, the posts are moveable, and all cage nuts/screws are included.

-Durable powdercoat -Sturdy -Rack nuts are neither too loose nor too tight. Can be removed without a tool, but they don't fall out.

Mostly designed for 2U server with cage screws and washers, but can be used for many other things as well with the right screw kits. The size is versatile and standard, it fits in standard tool chest cabinets as well with tool-less installation as a secondary shelf with lips on every side of the shelf. Does not fit in any personal computer cases, but only in standard sized rack mount frames, which can also be used for a variety of specialized purposes, because that's the way it is. This is probably mostly appropriate for personal servers or small quantity orders inside mid-sized corporations. Most corporations do not use more than a few 2U/1U frames or servers. This is because they are not needed and other kinds of systems are used. There is not much difference compared to other similar 2U shelves. No shape optimization is present nor should be needed, just follow industry trends is sufficient. The thermal vents are designed correctly with structural strength factored in the design based on general industry structural guidelines. The material is obviously regular steel with a spray paint surface finish. The price is about right for this kind of server accessory. Steel is one of the best choices for this kind of applications, it is high strength designed for low cycle loads. As a result, Infinite life is definitely expected.
