Great product. On board audio quit. Purchased this card and audio works fine now.

Sound Quality Build Quality Portable

This Creative Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus has very Clean Sound Quality and does not Dull out at High Volume Levels as the Creative Sound Blaster Z did. The Creative Sound Blaster Z was a very Poor Quality Sound Card and the Software was even more frustrating. This AE-5 Plus sounds better than the EVGA Nu Audio and even better at Higher Volume Levels. The EVGA would dull out the High Frequencies at 90% Volume levels. The EVGA was way overpriced for what it was and had no What You Hear Software, so no Music Audio was not possible to Record with no Stereo Mix options available. That to me was an EVGA Rip Off to not include What You Hear Stereo Mix.

got it to replace a USB dac that kept having connectivity issues. being on the board this is more reliable and does the job as being an rca line out to an headphone amp

I brought this because my mother board sound card was dying and was unable to install an internal card due to my graphics card being mounted vertically in my case preventing access to the card slots. This little device was easy to connect and use having noticeably better sound quality than the original mother board audio before it developed issues.

I bought this card mainly to give me a digital output and it does that with a toslink connector. setup was very easy and even my cheesy computer speakers sound much better. I like the wired desktop remote that provides two headphone connections

Comes with low profile bracket. Sound is great compared to onboard sound component.

- 96Khz Sink/Source with a 512 Buffer, giving a 5.3ms latency with a ~70dB noise level. - Higher clarity in midrange compared to Integrated Sound Blaster Cinema 3.

All is good

I bought this for my laptop so I could use my headset. The sound on this is a lot better than the built in sound card

It is a bit better in sound quality than alc1200 in my motherboard. The software is very handy for games especially. The most improvement is in Mic sound, it is very clear with this card.

-Sounds are much crisper and sharper. Bass also sounds deeper without distortion. Be sure to use 'direct mode' to utilize the best of the card. I'm not sure how to explain it, everything just sounds better! I haven't bought a sound card since 2007 but I figured I would soup up my new pc as much as possible - absolutely no regrets at all. I'll never go back to on-board audio ever again!

I bought it to install on an old computer because the built-in sound card no longer worked. The sound quality is okay but not as good as the PCI-e version I also bought. It also comes with a driver disk.

Helps me record vocals and guitar

- works in Ubuntu 20.04 without additional drivers. - The headphone jack also supports a TRRS headset with mic as well so you don't need to buy a 1 to 2 jack adapter to use this card. - sports a type A connector

Two microphone inputs, as well as a separate line-in, in addition to the analog and optical audio outs. Much, much simpler driver from Creative compared to the X-Fi Xtremegamer I was using previously. Even on Windows 10, most of the EAX games I have tried so far have been able to enable it flawlessly. No need for a "mode switch" like the old X-Fi cards did. ACTUAL 7.1 and ACTUAL hardware processing like the X-Fi cards of old do, and UNLIKE the SoundBlaster Recon and SB Z line which use software mode for those games instead.
