For me it is better than a dac. Out of sight and sounds just as good to my ears.

Best sound card in have ever had Easy to setup

Using the 3 slots on sound card, 1 for dual Creative Gigaworks T40 desk speakers, 1 for same set of speakers on a side shelf, and 1 slot for other set of smaller speakers with sub-woofer, selected the 5:1 channel, works great, installed card into a free PCIe x 4 channel slot on the windows pc motherboard (the smallest slot), love the card, 5 eggs

I brought this because my mother board sound card was dying and was unable to install an internal card due to my graphics card being mounted vertically in my case preventing access to the card slots. This little device was easy to connect and use having noticeably better sound quality than the original mother board audio before it developed issues.

Accessibility. Reliability. Trustworthy manufacturer. A name you know is good. Audiophile quality.

Comes with low profile bracket. Sound is great compared to onboard sound component.

- Easy install, obviously. - Good price - Creative Soundblaster

* Quality of sound * Lots of sound options * Very good design

The sound card has very rarely failed to do what it claims to do and I highly recommend it to you. Yes it does have a mic/headset plugin and I have no final complaints

Sound Blaster does a very good job for the price

I was blown away by the quality of the sound. It all depends on headphones quality. No big difference if gaming headsets were used (in my case at least). Sound great on Sennheiser HD 599.

I bought it to install on an old computer because the built-in sound card no longer worked. The sound quality is okay but not as good as the PCI-e version I also bought. It also comes with a driver disk.

- Sounds great - Easy to set up (Win10 users, LOOK AT Quinn M's review! Don't use the ) - No static or other sounds, even with a 6ft USB extension cable, I have a desk PC with pullout drawer) - SMALL! (Can be a con I guess if you want a giant DAC?)

I was looking for a DAC for my Lenovo laptop that only decodes digital audio in 16 bit 32KHz. This decodes Digital Audio at 24 bit 96KHz. In high bit rate audio the difference in the sound can be noticed. The audio does not sound garbled like it does with the 16 bit audio that the laptop can produce. The audio sounds a lot crispr and fuller with cheap pair of speakers that I tested it with. Sounds great for a 3+3 watt speaker configuration power from a power bank. 24 bit audio is noticeable on anything. I would recommend this product. This is for 2 channel audio only. It is great for its intended purpose. If you have a old stereo and a laptop, buy this, or for a 2 or 2.1 set of PC speakers and you want to hear clear and rich audio, buy this product. Just plug into the USB port and let Windows install it's driver and it will work a few seconds later.

Finally got this to work on my Linux system. Always tried the analog outputs, never dreamed of using the digital, tried that and wallia....daggone good sound.

- Pretty much plug and play - Cheap - Corn Electronics got it here fast - Better than "Crab" audio
