Great Scanner Small foot print, fast, duplex scanning. I've tested it and it works well in Acrobat Pro 9,X,XI Twain Drivers included. Comes bundled with Acrobat 9 Standard . (I have not used) I would buy it again.

It does what they said it would do.

I bought the Fujitsu iX500 primarily for its speed. Paperwork is running me out of the house. I wanted to scan bank and brokerage statements, Medicare and health insurance records and bills so that I could store them on my computer and then destroy the mountains of paper. It copies both sides in one quick pass, one page or 50 pages. Without having to change any settings, it scans in black and white or color. Filing is easy. If you have a folder on your computer called "Brokerage Statements," tell it that's where you want the scan to go. Give the scan a name such as the date of the statement, and then hit "save." All the pages of that statement will be saved in one PDF file, either portrait or landscape, whichever the original was. Or you can send the scan to your printer for a nearly instantaneous print out. Or an email. I have not had time to try its other functions, but the ones that I am using have exceeded my wildest expectations for speed and simplicity.

I wanted a good scanner so I could convert my paper files into electronic files. At first I tried the All-in-Ones, they just did not perform well. The Fujitsu ScanSnap S510 has surpassed my expectations. It is quick, produces high quality scans, and has the ability to scan a stack of different size papers at the push of a button. The package also includes the full version of Adobe Acrobat Standard 8.0, making it an even better deal.

I like the speed and the ease using the feeder. I like the choice of programs for pictures or pdf files. It is light weight and can get very compact on my desktop where real estate is hard to come by.
