Came with an extra HDMI cable so I didn't have to buy another one

Over the years I've tried many different systems for transferring VHS family tapes to my computer. Elgato is by far the best and easiest I've ever used. I plugged in my 15-year-old VHS, attached it to my Mac, and started up the Elgato software. That was all it took. I've been importing 25-year-old tapes all day. As easy as pressing a button.

Simple and compact, worked immediately without any extra steps

Plug and play, no issues at all, no searching for drivers etc
