Lite-On make most DVD drives these days so the software is the most recent. Translation with something like Exact Audio Copy even CDS that other players have problems with can be ripped. I've recently reripped my CD collection to Opus rather than Mp3 and had two Lite-On slim line external drives die on me as I was ripping a dozen CDs a day. Hopefully this one should dissipate the heat a bit better and be more reliable.
