Easy setup, not terribly fast compared to an EVO 840 (the last samsung MSATA I used with this). However, still faster than a spinner drive. So far, working well, no glitches. I just bought a pair of 2TB MSATA drives (same brand) for a little Xi3 cube (Xi3 is out of business, but if you can find the last model of their cube, they have 8gb ram, onboard discrete ATI graphics and an AMD processor, run on 12vdc and they have TWO Msata slots, so a total of 4tb in a system about the size of a racquetball, smaller than a baseball. The last ones they made had four USB3, 2 USB2, 2 ESATA, 1 HDMI/DIsplayport, sound and microphone and an RJ45 port. No built in Wifi (though you could probably use one of the MSATA ports). These will plug right into the HDMI port of ANY modern Hotel TV, and with a Logitech BT keyboard/touchpad they do quite well for work on the go, with a wifi dongle. While you can always take a modern laptop and use that with an HDMI out, the PROBLEM is that you can't usually make that work without a LONG HDMI cable. And a separate keyboard etc. I keep 3TB worth of movies on mine. Cable never has anything decent on it. While a modern Intel NUC based micro system is more powerful, I don't know if they will work off 12vDC. We use these on our cabin cruisers and campers as movie servers and open source chartplotters (USB GPS). Used to find these online cheap 2 or 3 years ago but not so much anymore. Be sure, if you want to play with one to get the LAST ones made that had the USB3 ports. They only draw around 12 to 25/30 watts. They might even work with an in-dash DVD player as well. Look on the backside of the cube for the four BLUE usb ports..these are the best of all that were made. I would not get the older models Now, as for the one I bought here being used in the MSI Z87, that setup has an i7 4770 processor and 32gb of 7-8-8 ram. My daughter wanted the 1tb Evo 870 that was in it (SATA) so I took a roll of the dice and tried this little MSATA SSD. I personally think it might be a tad slower than the EVO 870, and for some reason it took out the first PCIE-16x slot (the manual says it will knock the SATA 6 port out, which is true, but with this installed that first X16 won't work and that negated my EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 water cooled video card due to a drive bay behind the 2/3 16x slots. But it seems to work fine, and I did a USB load of win 10 pro 2H22 (last update). For now it seems to be working fine, but I WILL back it up onto another EVO 870 when I get one in. Just to be safe, since Newegg doesn't even list the warranty for it. That's a concern, but not a huge one. However, I've had four vertex and SIX intel SSD's die on me in the past 4 years. So warranty is important. The evos have a 5 year warranty. Though you cannot find an MSATA drive new from samsung anymore. All are M.2 now. But if you have that same motherboard that I have, it's a good board if you have older games. Won't hold a candle to the new 10,000 series intel stuff, but it plays Mechwarrior 5 ok. I haven't seen ANY other Msata SSD's that are 2tb (Newegg must have just gotten these in, because I'd never seen anything over 1tb before from ANYONE in the MSata format. If anyone has an Xi3 system, these will WORK. Considering they all came with either 64gb or 128gb SSD's (the last cubes came with 512gb Msatas), this is a hefty upgrade. I think the pair of them (the two 2tb Msatas I just bought) should hold around 100 blu ray movies. Plus they come with the SCREWS..and if you're as old fingered as I am, those go flying and you can NEVER find them again, so that's a bonus.

A vast improvement over mechanical hard drives. Low cost. It gave new life to a aging laptop.

I've been using my Dell Inspiron 3470 for nearly a decade now with the HDD. Finally gave in and got an SSD. The difference is night and day. Moved Windows and programs onto the SSD.

So first and foremost this my first time using an nvme drive since it came out in the earlies, I always watch these youtube pc building videos and saw the guys using these drives. The price I got it at was very good so I bought two and when it arrived slotting them in was a bit scary I didn't want to break it on my first try but eventually I got around that fear and installation was very easy. I installed linux mint OS on one and used the other for steam games and. Booting the desktop and launching steam games was just a few seconds operating temperature was normal. Also its quit small and cute for it size.

For the price it works and provides the speeds as advertised which is like around 3.7 GB/s. Well see if I have any longevity issues like some of the lower reviews on here but installed today and speeds and temps are great thus far.

B + M Keying, 1TB at a great price. Dead simple to use. Don't know much about the manufacturer but their product works as advertised. Photos: #1: shows stacking of hardware and USB bridge. The bottom board is the 862 and holds the 2280 drive. #2: No SD card though not easy to see - because it's booting off of the 1TB 2280!!!! #3: Mounting of this drive hardware. #4: The nifty little USB 3.x hub that is nearly same size as the Pi - that hub is worth the buy for sure (New Egg p/n in the overall review)

Card fit perfect. Provided screw was incorrect for my ASRock mainboard, but I had the ASRock screw.
