I live in an old house in a city neighborhood with several dozen wireless networks stacked on top of each other. This product allowed me to get a 35 Mbps Internet connection from the cable modem on the floor above me to my part of the apartment. It worked right out of the box and appears to the router as if I am plugged directly in with an ethernet cable. I have it set to encrypted mode. It has been rock-solid the past month, and only once dropped the connection. I simply unplugged for 15 seconds and it reestablished the connection within seconds. Latency is non-detectable. Runs slightly warmer than body temperature to the touch after being plugged in for a month.
