built like a tonk. solid vrm for future monsters.

- Robustness, this board feels heavy and solid in hand - Looks great, love the clean black look. - Lots of connectivity - Dedicated PCIE 5.0 lanes for both the GPU and primary M2 drive.

- Compact - Tons of M.2 - Amazing memory support - Amazing OOTB CPU support - Not running too hot under normal use

came with all the stuff you need, clean and proper, no bent pints and a nice set of stickers and a keychain. wifi adapter. lovely board to buy

- Well thought out layout, everything is placed for solid cable management - 2x PCIe NVMe SSD M.2 slots (1 at Gen4 x4 with an included heatsink, and 1 at Gen3 x2. Using the latter disables 2 of the 6 SATA ports) - M.2 Key E WiFi slot - DIMM slots allow for adding/removing RAM without removing the GPU - Lots of backpanel IO including one each of USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A and C ports - Onboard headers for 4 front panel USB ports, front panel audio, plus an additional 4 back panel USB ports (and even a COM port header) - A nice big passive heatsink on the VRMs - All the onboard components work out-of-the-box with Linux

MSI products have always worked well for me and this motherboard is great just like the others I have used for my builds in the past.

Easy and dummy proof assembly. Clean look.

Very awesome motherboard!

This thing is packed with features, lots of high power consumption consideration (considering it's an OC Monster). Tons of ease and quality of life features like the EZ PCI-E Release, the M.2 quick release hold downs, and white peripherals.

- Plenty of USB ports front and back (including 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 - 10Gbps ports) - Has VGA, Displayport and HDMI port and PS 2 port (in case your old mouse did not die) - Can flash BIOS without CPU - Has great WIFI capabilities, the speed was close to what I get connecting via wired LAN - Bluetooth - RAID support

Easy to setup Feature packed Great looking board EZ Pcie/M2 latch & EZ wifi plug Works right out of the box. No bios update needed

- PCIe 5.0 x16 for the latest generation of GPUs - M2 Heatsink "Frozr II" - Wifi 7

- Has a lot of compatibility - Lot of extra slots - Best price value for performance

The ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Dark Hero is phenomenal. I want to start by mentioning the attention to detail and the build qualityit's on another level. The board feels very solid, strong, and heavy. The main reason I decided to go with this board is that it allows me to run two Gen 5 SSDs at full speed without losing GPU performance, keeping the graphics card running at x16. I do lose the use of the 40Gb USB-C ports, but honestly I dont use them anyway. Working on the board was super easy thanks to all the EZ-Latch mechanisms, which made installing components quick and hassle-free.

other then one of my RGB pin was slightly bent but was able to straighten it out. other then that for the price this board is great. I got a white pc built so it look and perform amazing. I would definitely buy another one in the future.

AM5 socket, ease of use, heatsink for gen 5 drive, pcie 5.0 compatible, plenty of RGB and fan/aio headers, sleek black look for black builds. USB-c on back panel, easy to use bios.

I bought this because it had more usb ports. I use 7 peripherals, maybe more... so yeah. The m.2 does not use screws but it uses a plunger thing to lock it in. I think that's good since it prevents people from over tightening it. BIOS is easy for first timers like me.
