Install was a breeze: MSI has finally nailed the "EZ" life. The M.2 clips mean no more hunting for those tiny, soul-crushing screws, and the PCIe release button is a lifesaver if you have a massive GPU. Built for the future: Wi-Fi 7 is fast, and having USB4 ports is a huge plus for my external drives. I feel like I won't need to upgrade this platform for a long, long time. Overclocking? No sweat: The power delivery on this board is overkill in the best way possible. My Ryzen chip stays rock solid, and the heatsinks actually do their job instead of just looking pretty.

Bought this to add 10Gb and USB4 video out. Happy to have discovered that the built-in Radeon capability of the 7900x CPU outputs from both the HDMI port and the USB4 ports by default. Also, I have 4x16Gb of Corsair Vengeance RAM and no issues to report.

Beautiful looking, didn't even turn on x3d and when testing with 9850x3d cpu had excellent results.

-Board looks sleek -Heat sinks are massive -Gen 4.0 PCIe -Great VRMs -Wifi 6 -2.5 Ethernet -Headers and connection placement were perfect for my case

Easy to install and user-friendly BIOS interface Great compatibility with latest-gen Ryzen CPUs Smooth RAM management XMP works perfectly Plenty of USB ports and well-placed M.2 slots Built-in Wi-Fi works flawlessly Stable performance during long gaming sessions Good cooling support with enough fan headers

Sleek and stealthy. Top tier performance. STICKERS!

-It does what its supposed to do. -The wifi module is already installed so you don't have to install another comonent. -Very well built. -Does its job. -Affordable for the features.

quick easy set up no clutter. great that the m.2 slot has a pin instead of screw to hold it

Asus quality all connections are easy to get to except the power for the case.

I was worried when I bought the ryzen 7 5800 and reading I had to potentially q flash the mobo. Luckily we did not have do such a thing. It came 5000 series ready luckily.

Basic motherboard for a great build to support my digital activities on amateur radio. Bought a second one to build a new desktop for the wife.

No regrets I was looking forward to it!!

Although compact, this motherboard is packed with features and ports. Works out of the box without much issue.

-Heat sink on the VRM is very good -Build quality seems OK, but only time will tell -Quite a lot of USB on the rear I/O

The board has decent I/O, is easy to work with and install. The bios GUI is well thought out. Integrated WIFI 7 chipset is extremely fast and stable.

Works with and USES ECC memory, as confirmed in Ubuntu 24.04 (Kingston KSM48E40BD8KI-32HA). I didn't have to fiddle with the bios at all - either to get full performance in Passmark versus existing baselines, or to get ECC memory to be recognized and to work in Linux. This was great, as I "upgraded" early from my (not old) Gigabyte B760M with the borked 13900K.

Best value motherboard for a B850

Screen, lots of extras
