Had it installed for almost a year now, and the card works great for peripherals that play nice with others... ie, printers, scanners, thumb drives, etc. Transfer speeds are on par for 3.0. This opens up my other ports so I can have dedicated lanes for stuff that doesn't play nice with others... ie, audio recording interfaces, web cams, USB mics, etc.

Works right out of the box in Windows 11. Installed it, booted into Windows, did a restart as it didn't seem to connect right away and worked fine on the second boot. Speeds are great. Finally getting my full 2Gbps fiber internet. Over 2.2Gbps down and around 2Gbps up. Cheap price and free shipping as well for something I didn't realize I needed.

Easy install, works as expected.

plug and play, came with everything you need, no drivers

Maybe a Necessity if You Have a USB-C on Front Panel Header because no USB 3.2 GEN1 connector on motherboard. The PCI-E 1X to USB 3.2 GEN1 5Gbps 20pin Front Panel Header allows you to connect the USB-C front panel header to your PCI-E 1X slot

It keeps the sdds cool and easy to install. A thick plate covers the sdds to disapate heat.

I have an HP Envy 795-0020 desktop equiped with 250 G SATA ssd. Plug this adaptor to its PCI-e x 4 slot with a PNY 2tb Nvme ssd. Upon restarting, the UEFI bios regconizes the existance of the Nvme drive and am able to clone the SATA ssd to the Nvme drive as a drop-in process.

- Ultimately works and does what it claims to do - Depending on your GPU displayPort I/O, can upgrade fully to Thunderbolt DP

I have two of these in a Threadripper PC. In an X16 socket 4 M.2 drives. In an X8 socket 2 M.2 drives. All six drives run off cpu lanes at max speed for the M.2 drive. FLAWLESS with Sabrent GEN4 drives for months. No temp throttling.

Works perfectly adding SATA III to my old motherboard that's been pressed into service as a NAS with SSDs. Open Media Vault 8.3 recognized the card and drives right out of the box. It took longer to get the case open and install the card than it did to get the system up and running!
