I love the looks of it even though I don't see it often, and it is easy to install and works great.

An update to rkb's review on 6/17/10, the supplied CD install disc now includes the current driver for Win 7 Pro 64 bit. It installed perfectly and works fine. The driver on the disc is the current Ver 2.0.3.0. I checked the asix.com.tw/download page for the MCS9901 driver and their file Windows 8.1/8.0/7/Vista/XP 64-bit Driver is also Ver 2.0.3.0. Use this website to check for future versions.

low cost alternative to adapting PCI cards simple and straight-forward installation

Good product. Great that it comes w/ all the different faceplates for low-profile and high.

It works well!

Make sure your PCI slot is operational. Otherwise it's simple, Lowered my MB temperature at least 6 degrees Celsius.

Does exactly what it says. Warning the little disk that it comes with, does not have product specific drivers. Windows 7 took a little bit of time to recognize it, but one it did, it worked great.

This board installed quickly and was automatically configured by Windows 11. All standard usb ports are occupied and function nominally. Have not used USB-C ports yet but will soon and expect the same result.

- 7 ports. The internal port may seem kind of useless to some. However I have an ASUS X58 chipset board and those do not have a TPM. So, in order to enable Bitlocker, you need to create a "key" USB stick. This stick has to always be in the machine to boot to windows. Now that USB stick no longer takes up a port on the back of the PC. - FAST. Performing an Acronis image backup of 500GB now takes ~2 hours instead of 5.5. These backups are written to 2TB WD MyBook USB 3.0 drives. It would be even faster if I could ever convince management that mechanical drives are not the best answer... File copies from USB 3.0 stick to USB 3.0 stick of ~64GB (lab data, small files) takes about 2 minutes now. - Price. For what this card does in this environment (small research lab, no real data-center), the price was right on point.

Uses M2 slot. Has activity LEDs.
