Installed and worked without problems, both hardware and driver software, in my old Windows Server 2011 system. The card includes a 20pin header for USB 3 as is typical of newer motherboard -- this allows you to use USB 3 on old-spec motherboards that have only USB 2 headers. The USB 3 stuff works as advertised -- I have noticed a large decrease in time for my backup compared to the USB 2 gear replaced.
