This is the second drive I purchased this week from Newegg. As I was installing the drive in my NAS got a message that another drive had bad sectors. Best price I could find in these times so ordered another. Installed and working great.

Got it running on my synology for plex media!! Running great!! Gets a bit loud but I'm use to it.

8/29/17 is when i purchased this drive...fyi still using it now. it has at least 40 games installed on it and half way thru the storage,i came on this site to actually order another one because im the type that likes to leave alot of spare room on mechanical hard drives like these, but thats just me....it can only manage to run at 5400 which i do not prefer but i will say the temps around 27-31 degrees and to me that aint bad at all..no problems with it ever and thats why i took the time out to write this review..

Everything is good, great hard drive

Installed in DS423+ NAS and they work fine so far. Great price.

Received drive where it was in a frame in center of box which was in a semi secure Newegg box. Plugged in drive into old mediasonic probox that was rated for 8tb drives. Worked fine. Ubuntu says you have to format that 16tb size as GPT and that worked fine. Over 14tb usable space. Temp of drive is similar to my 4 and 8tb WD red drives and is much cooler than the 10tb WD Plus drive. Speed was high at around 200MB transfer rates. Noise was slightly higher than the 4tb WD drives, but still low. Drive is new, not used, not recertified. Manufacture date is March 2023 which is when the warranty starts, so not very long ago.

Has the capacity to hold all of my data. Was easy to install and partition the way I needed. Very quiet operation. I always check user ratings before I purchase; I read the pros and cons and also view other sites where the product is sold. Made the right decision for storage!!!

Ordered and was promptly shipped

Great price for drives that are compatible with my NAS - I was able to create a RAID5 type array with 3 of these and still have about 14 TB of disk space.

Works as expected in my Synology two drive NAS using RAID 1 (Mirrored) solution. I cannot complain, my previous drive died after 8 yrs so I am going again with WD RED solution.

Installed in a As1104T NAS. Installation was simple and the drive has performed well. Its quiet in Operations and, so far, has had no problems in use across the network. Newegg has been a recent "go to" for my network storage needs.

Its larger enough to solve for storage use for years Its quiet enough to avoid annoyance Its fast!

I'm rating New Egg not the product as I've not yet used the product. New Egg is my go to place for my computer stuff. I previously wrote a bad review (can't find it to change it) but it was actually for a 3rd seller which actually had a good ending. As did this purchase. I recommend New Egg.

Bought as a replacement drive for my WD MyCloud. Took a while to copy 3.5GB, but finally did it without issue.

plugged in, has worked for the past two weeks. No overt warnings about excessive bad sectors
