WD is my go to for HDDs. i use this for backups and images and whatnot. tons of space to store even full images. i dont read from it very often and dont care about the write speed, so i cant comment if its fast, but im sure its on par with any other HDD. USB 3.0 which is great as well. case is nice and subtle, clean looking.

Insanely fast! I shucked this drive and installed in my system its a HGST 12TB For basic file transfers and downloads this drive awesome.

Works as expected, I mean this is an external hard drive.

I write continually, and always keep that last rendition of what I wrote, which means I may keep 15 renditions of a story. This takes a lot of room which also takes much backup time. This drive eliminates that concern about backup space and the 3.o speed significantly reduces backup time. I have relied on WD Hard Drives for years and have never been disappointed. I can say, with confidence based on years of experience, you will enjoy the top performance of this drive.

Smaller size than I expected which is really nice!

Works great for backup and is large enough that it should last me a long time. I use Acronis and it does an incremental backup which saves space. It is USB 3 which makes it faster than the old USB 2. I have used it to backup two computers and worked like a charm. I have been using Western Digital for a long time and have only had one hard drive failure and it is my belief that it failed because the IDE cable that was sent to me with the computer case was too long. It has a three-year warranty which is another plus.

I cannot complain for the price at Newegg basically compensates for the intermitent noise running a tad hot. But I'm confident it will be fine. Best deal I've got for a HD. I shopped around and Newegg was by far the best deal and had it in stock. Not even you know who had it in stock.

Excellent Price, for the size of the hard drive

There were no problems loading files. I transferred files from 3 different external drives on the Win 10 PC on this HDD, then plugged the drive in to a Win 11 laptop thru a hub.
