Yes, 52X is a bit of a limit. 52X CD-ROM readers have been around for a long time; recently, burners that can do the same speed in write mode (in theory at least, with good enough media and when the phase of the moon is favourable) have turned up too. 52X isn't a barrier like the speed of light; you could make a drive that worked faster, and someone probably will. But it's getting very difficult, because CD-ROM discs are not manufactured to the same tolerances as hard disk platters, and they're not as strong, either. At a glance, a CD looks very nicely round and the hole in the middle looks very nicely centred. But it's not perfectly round, and there's probably stuff printed on it too, which can further spoil its centre of gravity.

Great discs. Verbatim is usually best. Burned about 20 discs with no problems on a Pioneer 2209.

A perfect record of no coasters with an LG WH16NS40 (hundreds of discs). Easily recognizable/readable by that same LG Decently priced.

I have had Very Good results with these. The only "coasters" were because of mistakes I made. Another nice thing about them is (I think) that they are supposed to work with special Thermal disk printers for labeling. I "examined" a few coasters by cutting them up to see how they are constructed. These are not your run-of-the-mill media with the reflective/recordable surface "painted on". These have an additional protective layer over that one. These are Very Tough Media. You could probably run over these with a car and they would still be readable.

Seems to work well and can be labeled by marker or pen if you need or want to.

No problems burning at 16X. great value with rebate, which I was surprised to receive so quickly(5 wks).

Great value for these blank discs. Burning speed and accuracy is right on the money. No problems burning as long as your firmware of your drive is updated to the most recent version. I burned about 20 discs so far and not one coaster yet. Quality of the surface is just like those expensive discs you'd get with Hollywood movie Blu-rays.

Able to back up all my photos on my computer without any failed burns The discs were super fast to copy Great price

Needed to record over and over my Cable TV sports games on DVD player/recorder.

- Great for making immortal OS install discs, or storing smaller files.
