I had a NAS drive fail. Was having a battle with the vendor and HDD manufacture about a warranty replacement. I bought this to quickly (new egg shipped it immediately) resolve the issue until I sorted things out with the manufacture and vendor. Still not sorted out after a couple of weeks of back and forth, but good news is this drive is working great.

Bought 2 of these to expand my DVR storage space for WMC. I have both of them on a HighPoint RocketRAID 640 card. Have a gigabyte 990 UD3 that they are installed on. WD RED 3TB, Raid 0 total of 6TB drive on highpoint card SEQ 270 Read/MBs 190 Write/MBs WD Black 2 TB, Raid 0 total of 4TB installed on SATA Mother Board ports SEQ 235 Read/MBs 175 Write/MBs (used crystal mark test for both tests) I did not have any issues with windows recognizing these drives as 3TB due to running Windows 7 professional. I will have these drives running 24/7 and because of that I purchased the extended warranty for piece of mind briging the warranty to 5 years.
