Have had drives since June of last year, they run a little warm, however performance and speed is excellent. No issues of DOA. Every drive was received fine. I bought 5 drives and are currently being used in a qnap ts1079 server and run excellent.

-Got this for about $90 so don't recommend paying over $120 or so. -Fast and quiet -Great capacity for above stated price.

Been running 24x7 on NVR for camera system. After formatting its been running non-stop for two weeks with no issues. Only time will tell of how long it will last.

Large, CMR,

This drive is light, quiet and thin. The price is really good considering the size and speed of the drive. It has a large 64MB Cache which greatly speeds up sequential read and write operations. It supports the SATA 6.0Gb/s interface. This drive will not overheat your case! The hottest it ever got during benchmarking and formatting was just under 95F (that would be a cool day where I live in Phoenix!). The drive, in my testing, was whisper quiet. There is nothing worse than a loud hard drive, clunking and rattling when you are trying to work.

I bought from newegg directly with sale price of 75$. - Product is totally new with seals. - It obvious, but I did not find signs of usage before, and all tests showing good results. - Write and read speeds pretty good, there is no lags while opening my files.

18tb of storage is great

Ran 4 of these in a storage array for a few years. They replaced a similar array built on smaller SATA drives. Needless to say, they're muuuuch faster than the SATA drives.

This isn't a Raptor or SSD, but for a huge storage disk it is fast. This ST6000NM0024 also runs very cool and quiet. If you are looking for the best single drive solution for storage, this is it. From the moment I opened the box I was amazed at the packaging (way to go Newegg) and the weight of the drive. Everything about it said BEAST! I backed-up my entire system on this drive and it did it in less time than on my Seagate 1TB drive. If you need a mammoth single storage solution then look no further.

I like the drives due to their speed and longevity.

Installed on an Intel 2nd Generation Desktop PC build. Run very quiet and steady. Satisfied with the performance enduring long hours of operation. As a main drive does good. Worth the purchase.

The first one I bought here on 8/2/2011,It just started giving me fits 8/4/2018. Its been running for 7 year's, Kudos's WD

Good price 12gb interface Works well so far in my Adaptec raid 5

-This is seagate! -Cheap, powerfull and stable!

Extremely fast Read\Write soeeds considering it is installed in a SATA 2 machine. Quiet...have to put ear to drive to hear it. Absolutely NO clicking. As a note...I have found that if I keep my drives laying flat as mother intended, I have a lot fewer problems. I have had drives that made a lot of noise on their side, but were quiet when flat.

The 6 TB version seemed like the best balance between price, size, performance and noise / heat. This is going in a 4 bay NVR which is in a very quiet environment. So far, these drives seem much quieter than the 7200rpm version (during seek) which are being swapped out 1 at a time to allow the RAID rebuilds to catch up. Temps are 10C lower than the 7200 pro version. (37C vs. 47-49C per SMART data.)

Does not throttle under heavy load or copying large file.
