Item came in a Western Digital box, sealed in an anti-static bag. Pass Mark showed zero hours run so it is a new drive. I’ve made some initial tests with it connected externally in a USB 3 docking port and it shows 90 MB/s copy speed either from my WD Black scratch Drive or my Samsung m.2 C drive. It does get a little hot but it’s silent as far as whine goes except for a few seconds when spinning up. The seek sounds are very audible however. Date of manufacture on label shows as May of 2015 so even though it’s new, it’s 5 years old.

Low price, 5.9 on the WEI for a lower speed drive. I like the 16MB cache, that's more than your standard drive in this size, usually they come with 8MB. 250GB is a decent sized replacement for a laptop that people don't download things onto, runs windows 7 beautifully. Booted up and installed no issues. Still running now.

So far so good. Replacing a wd 750gb 7200rpm on a Toshiba satellite t135 s1310. Wanted to try ssd but with a large capacity and without the higher cost. Boot and shutdown speeds are noticeably faster though not as fast as I expected (40 seconds from off to logon). Some programs also start noticeably faster. Price was fair and I'm happy so far.
