Great capacity, very quiet, good speed. Used this drive to replace Hitachi 320 in Dell Latitude D630 Intel T9500. Set up drive as dual boot (XP Pro/Win 7 Pro) and it works perfectly. Now I can play and use any program, new or old!

Small quite and cool drive. Perfect for SFF HTPC storage drives such as LiveTV Buffer and RecordedTV storage. I've been using this drive for 2 years with no problems and never hear it spin while buffering LiveTV or watching RecordedTV content.

Massive storage and very silent.

I got this drive from newegg.com to replace the HD in my seven-year-old Powerbook G3 "Lombard", which had started to sound like a circular saw. The new drive installed in five minutes, I partitioned it and loaded OS X, and my boot times were cut in half over the stock drive, a very noticeable performance increase. This drive is also whisper-quiet, with just the very occasional seeker head noise during heavy activity.

works as expected. I purchased this to replace a failed SANDISK SSD that died from hibernation/sleeping. I had a backup image from the recent swap, so it was easy to put this in and it worked. * Normal Laptop HDD speeds * Normal or less heat than like drives * No noticeable sounds when accessing drives (original drive was much louder) * Great price when caught on sale at $70 * Good Bang for buck per GB * Shipped in small box within Large Box

it's a drive

Quiet and fast (5400RPM). Fits neatly into my Dell Inspiron 9300 with no troubles.

Price is good. Working well so far but it’s only a month now.. hopefully it works good for long time.

Fast and Quiet drive. Works great in a Lenovo R500 laptop. Surprisingly cool.

LIKEZ I GOTZ THIS DRIVE TO LIKES FIT IN MY SAS MEDIA SERVER, AND IT LIKE, DOESNT FITS IN ZE SLOT THINGS.... DAR.....

Western Digital. I've always gone with them, and I've never had a problem. I was skeptical about purchasing a refurbished drive, but with WD's track record, I figured I'd give it a go. So far, the drive works great right out of the box. Better yet, the thing looks brand new. No idea what the heck they refurbished, but I'd say it's a new drive.

Very fast for hard drives, 2 drives in Raid 0 achieved sustained read/write of 310MB/s. The OCZ SSD's achieve over 500MB/s in RAID 0 but depending upon your RAID there are issues with TRIM. These are about 60% of the speed of an SSD, but without any of the issues of SSD's, but are around the same price as SSD's MB for MB.
